Competition Terms and Conditions
- The promotion is open to bone fide chefs and students of catering colleges of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
- The competition can be entered via the website www.knorrbluedragon.ie only by registering your details, where you can then claim your free sample of the new KNORR Blue Dragon paste. Entrants can use this sample to come up with their own original and creative dish, or they can use KNORR Blue Dragon Create More Concentrated Sauces. The photograph, recipe title, recipe including ingredients and methodology of the original and creative dish will have to be either 1) uploaded to the website by filling out the form at www.knorrbluedragon.ie, or 2) Sent to Fiona Ryan, H&A Marketing & PR. Emmet House, Barrack Square, Ballincollig, Cork, along with the form which sets out instructions of what needs to be filled in. The form can be downloaded from www.knorrbluedragon.ie
- No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. Incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will be rejected. No photocopies of the paper entries will be accepted.
- The winner will be required to participate in publicity arising from this promotion. The winner may be asked to provide photographs, video footage, and contribute towards a travel diary once they return. These details will be arranged by Fiona Ryan at H&A Marketing and PR.
- By submitting your entry, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and make derivative works of your entry in any media and through any media channel. For the avoidance of doubt, and without prejudice to the Promoter’s rights, by submitting your entry, you grant the Promoter the right to publish your entry in a recipe book that may be circulated to media and customers (at the Promoter’s sole discretion). In addition, by submitting your entry, you agree that your entry may be made available for viewing on the Promoter’s websites (at the Promoter’s sole discretion).
- The entry shall be the entrant’s own work. By entering the competition each entrant warrants that their entry shall not have been previously published or exploited in any part and will not infringe any copyright, right of privacy, right of publicity or personality or any other right whatsoever of any third party.
- Each entry:
- must be suitable for display and publication online and should not be obscene or indecent, it must not contain defamatory statements or words or symbols that are offensive either generally or to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group. It must not include threats to any person, place, business or group, it must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and it must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards;
- must not contain or refer to any products other than those of Unilever and it must not contain or reference any third party trade marks or logos (other than those of Unilever) unless such inclusion is merely incidental and is not unduly prominent and as long as it is included with due cause and in such a way that it does not take unfair advantage of any third party trade marks; and
- must not contain any copyrighted works (other than as owned by the entrant).
- If anyone other than you appears in your entry, you must have their permission to use their name and/or likeness in the manner contemplated by this competition.
- If you submit an entry that includes material the rights in which are owned by a third party, including intellectual property rights such as copyright and trade marks, you will be responsible for any legal action that party may take against you.
- Entrants shall indemnify and hold the Promoter and their respective affiliates, directors, agents, or other partners ("the Indemnitees") harmless from any claims, actions, proceedings, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and expenses brought or asserted by a third party against any of the Indemnitees arising as a result of the Promoter’s use of the entrant’s submission including but not limited to any breach of third party intellectual property rights.
- Closing date for receipt of entries is Friday 13th April 2012 at 17:30 GMT.
- Promotion limited to one entry per person.
- Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of posting or sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries will become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned.
- The competition winner will win a holiday for two to Thailand with seven night’s accommodation in Phuket, with breakfast included only. Only the competition entrant will participate in two professional master classes at the Blue Elephant Cookery School from expert chefs in Phuket, with daily trips to the local market to source your ingredients. All cooking materials and ingredients will be included. The prize includes return flights from Dublin and transfers from the airport to the hotel.
- This prize is for one bona fide chef or catering college student and a friend, the culinary course is for the competition entrant only. Over 18’s only. Travel insurance is not included.
- All entries received by the closing date will be reviewed by our expert panel, which will include an independent member. The top five entries in the opinion of the panel will then be asked into the Unilever Food Solutions culinary centre in Greenogue, Dublin with travel included. This will be a date between 8th-11th May, with date disclosed after the entry date closes. Here, they will cook their shortlisted dish in front of the expert panel. If any of the top five entrants is unable to attend then the next best entry will be asked to attend in their place. The overall winner will be announced the same day. In the event of any dispute the decision of the Promoter is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner must take their holiday by 31st December 2012 If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the promotion rules.
- All prizes will be subject to any additional terms and conditions of the supplier of the prize to the Promoter.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or consequential damage of any nature in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise caused by acceptance of the terms and conditions or in connection with the prize (to the extent permissible by law).
- The winner’s details (name and county) will be made available on request to those writing to "Fiona Ryan, H&A Marketing & PR. Emmet House, Barrack Square, Ballincollig, Cork" within ten weeks after the published closing date, enclosing a stamped SAE.
- By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law and the courts of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
